Call for Artistic Director: U.S. Exhibits at Prague Quadrennial 2027

The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) invites applications for the role of artistic director for the U.S. Exhibition at the 2027 Prague Quadrennial (PQ27). USITT has proudly sponsored this event since the inaugural U.S. Exhibition in 1972.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

The Artistic Director will:

·  Develop and execute the artistic vision for the National and Emerging exhibits at PQ27.

·  Lead the formation and management of a curatorial (or similar) team.

·  Collaborate with the Producer to ensure the artistic vision is realized within a feasible budget.

·  Regularly report to the USITT Executive Director, providing updates on artistic developments.

Qualifications:

·  Must be an active member of USITT.

·  Knowledge of the Prague Quadrennial.

·  Demonstrated curatorial, exhibition, or similar expertise.

·   Your artistic approach for the US National and/or Emerging Exhibit(s) the 2027 PQ. 

·   How you plan to address DEI in the curatorial or creation process

·   Current and previous USITT involvement

·   Please also note any previous PQ involvement or experiences, experience with curation work, and work on other large-scale or international events.
